Major Project – status update
During this week, I researched the domain a lot because I had 3 different things to discover. On one part, I should present the UX version for my project and, on the other hand, the mobile version for the same project. My creative process is different from what it is supposed to be when we analyse the UX part. When the time or the client requests a design from scratch, I will develop it, but in partnership with a programmer/developer who can write code for every feature I request. In this way, I can design everything requested if it is feasible for code and backend. When I am working alone, because I was in the School of creative arts all my life since high school, I am not an analytical person. I know how to read or how to understand parts of code, but all the time, I worked in Frontend on the part responsible for how the website looks. For the function, I was pleased to learn how to manage the Cpanel, to create databases or elements that I needed on the progress for my projects. Directly from the Cpanel interface – where the domain name is hosted and have its nameservers I installed the WordPress Platform through the Softacolous platform. The WordPress theme I used is one I am familiar with. If I decided to choose another one, it could take me weeks to understand its thinking; other parts of code or images depending on how the programmer developed it. Each one is different behind de visual part; even it had an administration panel.
Returning to the UX process, the theme is already tested by a wide range of users and is updated, structurally speaking, all the time. Because I am working alone and I want to avoid unpleasant technical-code issues, I will go on the path that I can manage in time for delivery. This is the part where I am creative with the backend part for the interface but optimised it for the WordPress editor – an intermediary stage between pure code and interface. For this stage, I am working – this is how the front page is looking behind.

Classic editor – Front page viart.co.uk

Frontend editor – Front page viart.co.uk
In terms of structure, I am more creative when I am working and checking that everything functions simultaneously. For my project, I needed a functional website, not a proposition for a beautiful layout. During my sessions with the tutor, I decided to make the interface as clean as possible because I have many parts in this project, so I should make it easily understandable. This is why I presented each piece schematic in a few small parts, to have time for everything.
