The Creative Process and Learning Digital Media Arts
Documenting digital art and documentation practices could be seen as a collaboration between students, researchers and digital art documentation with museums, artists, and curators specialising in the domain. Even if we are creatives, we will like rather spend more time creating than planning. With a creative Gantt chart, I assume that our life will be easier to get good results without skipping out on our plan. I found out about the Gantt chart during our tutorial sessions, but I used similar graphics for my work usually. I used before task manager and other applications that helped me keep my goals and deadlines in the past. However, the Gantt Chart helps me a lot with time organization and schedule. I distributed all the stages of the project in the process of their evolution in an approximate time of development and execution for the entire period granted – 11 weeks.
Digital media studies are rapidly growing arts programs that cover knowledge in the art and design departments. Creating visual content, coding, screen interphases presentations for websites are skills taught in a digital media art class.
These studies intersect the knowledge in the upcoming hardware and software fields. Digital media arts explicitly emphasises how to communicate visually and use the information and technology design to prepare the learner for a lifetime of experimentation and innovation.
It is getting harder to run our day to day business operations without having to incorporate digital media arts in it. With a wide assortment of applications, it is only getting more relevant.
Skills Taught in a Digital Media Arts Class
Pursuing digital media involves learning the process behind the creation of physically and visually emanating products. Graduates are expected to learn certain skills that will equip them with infinite comprehension of the digital world. Strong knowledge in art and communication is vital, especially since art is a visual skill. In communication, as students, we can learn how to market, brand, and visually represent information to present it on a media platform. During my postgraduate program, I sustain that I learned everything I want to know or experiment in the last years. The project I proposed is elaborate, but I am satisfied with the final products.
In theory, creativity only represents a fraction of the percentage of everything required in this field. User experience (UE) and user interphase (UI) are also basic and necessary tools that enable art to evolve in the media technologically. This is learnt by acquiring knowledge in website design.
This combined technical set of knowledge and skills enables a smooth merging of science and technology with art.
Application of Digital Media Art
Digital media art has three interrelated and lucrative career choices. There are numerous applications for these studies, with the demand for experienced professionals growing every day. A student in digital media art will often have to choose between a career in web development and design, digital marketing, motion graphics or digital illustration. I worked in the last years in all of them, and even now after we finished our studies, I want to work and develop all these paths because I find them intertwined.
A career in digital media art will require one to have a good measure of artistic content and knowledge on how to use and mix colour for a great visual presentation. With there being a long list of skills required in this field, there are other specialisations available aside from the mentioned.
The Uncharted Advancement of Digital Media Arts
Digital media arts have become a strong career path, although it merely existed about two decades ago. There is a rising appetite globally for digital content in the art world. This trend has generated a high demand for professionals with the right skills and knowledge.
The Future Projection of Digital Media Arts
The future of digital media arts will keep evolving as new technology emerges. Art consumers are consistently making new demands, art quality keeps improving, and technology keeps changing. These aspects greatly influence the growth in this field and projection soon.
In the next five decades, it is projected that digital media art will have more experience and knowledgeable professionals, deeper digital collaboration and a broader access base to information.
Regardless of how it eventually shakes off, digital media arts has a hand in sharing information, entertaining, and communicating with technology. It will always play an important role in our everyday life.
